Phoenix is excited to be one of forty official charities involved in the Scotiabank Blue Nose Charity Challenge. This incredible opportunity allows Blue Nose participants to collect pledges on behalf of the charity of their choice. Last year, seventeen charities participated with over six hundred runners raising an incredible $130,000 in their support. Phoenix youth are excitedly lacing up their sneakers and preparing to run. We hope you'll join us as we help make these young people find hope and follow their dreams.
Phoenix feels a deep connection to the Blue Nose Marathon as it is an event that represents the enormous resolve and fortitude people need to achieve their goals. At Phoenix, we believe our youth represent these very traits. On the weekend of May 21st Phoenix youth will celebrate their fourth year of participating in the Blue Nose 5K run. Two years ago, a Phoenix youth won in her age category - a tremendous accomplishment that she will cherish for years to come.
Thousands of dedicated running enthusiasts will gather in Halifax for the 7th Annual Blue Nose Marathon. Each runner will eagerly confront their own personal challenges as they face the kilometers ahead. At Phoenix, we witness the same type of determination and perseverance in our youth.
The Blue Nose Marathon is the biggest annual race weekend in Atlantic Canada and offers runners five different categories in which they can participate. Early bird registration is available until February 28th. To make your running experience that much more meaningful, consider collecting pledges for one of the official charities.
