Phoenix Youth Programs

Phoenix would like to extend a warm thank you to all of our donors, including the 150 supporters who were in attendance at our Annual Donor Recognition Event which took place on June 17th.  

The evening was memorable for all.  Katelyn, a proud Phoenix youth, emceed the event and several other youth shared their stories and their experiences since arriving at Phoenix.  We are extremely proud of our youth for their many contributions to the event – they continue to inspire us on a daily basis.

Alongside the youth presentations, Phoenix was thrilled to unveil a new look.  The Phoenix communications committee spent plenty of time planning, and wanted to create something strong, powerful and colourful to represent the energy of the youth with whom we have the privilege of working.  The response to the unveiling was wonderful, with a warm round of applause.

Another special feature was the launch of a documentary film that was produced for the Phoenix Fathers’ Program. The video highlights the journey of young fathers in Halifax as they acquire new parenting skills and experiences.  The film was candid and touching.  Many of the fathers from the program were in attendance to celebrate the success of the initiative.  It was an enriching experience and a fantastic way to conclude the evening.

Sincere thanks to all of our donors who were in attendance, and to our youth who added their own special touch to the evening.  We are fortunate to have such a strong foundation of supporters and are grateful to those who made the evening a great success!
