The Phoenix Wish List
Items Can Be Dropped Off At:
Phoenix is grateful for items that can help our youth feel comfortable, healthy and nurtured. We send our sincere thanks for community-minded businesses, organizations and individuals who have taken the time to share what they have, with the young people we serve.
Bus Tickets
Many youth do not have extra funds to ensure they get to their destination safely. Bus tickets provide them with a safe and comfortable way to get to their destinations.
Gift Cards
Gift cards are a big favourite for our youth, allowing them the independence of choosing what they need and when. Examples include coffee shops, grocery stores, department stores, clothing stores, phone cards, movie theatres or movie rental certificates.
Non-Perishable Food Items
Youth living on their own are always appreciative of non-perisiable food items. This can include canned soups, vegetables, fruit and beans, as well as pasta, nuts and dried fruit.
Gently Used or New Clothing and Accessories
We want to ensure that each youth is well-equipped to deal with outside temperatures. You can help with donations such as coats, mittens, gloves, scarves and hats (toque-style), as well as warm blankets, and hand and foot warmers. In the summer, t-shirts, tank tops, bathing suits, shorts, khakis and light jackets are always appreciated.
Personal Care Products
Deodorant, facecloths, razors, feminine hygiene products, travel size packets of laundry detergent, suntan lotion and skin cream provide youth with much-needed supplies and contribute to overall health and self-esteem. No alcohol-based mouthwash, please.
New Socks and Underwear
Youth often rely on your donations to provide them with underclothes, helping to keep them comfortable throughout the year. Thermal underwear would also be appreciated in the colder months, along with hand and feet warmers.
Age-Appropriate Items for Children Under 5
Phoenix has a Parent Support Program for young parents. We are happy to receive diapers, clothing, wet-wipes, hats & mittens, unwrapped toys, baby food and children’s books.
Household items
Towels, facecloths, dish towels, dish cloths, can openers, dishes and pots & pans are always put to great use.
