Phoenix House

"I could not have accomplished all that I have without Phoenix. I want to travel. I want to meet new people and get to know about other places. I can't imagine my life without Phoenix. I would still be using, still drinking, still partying, still with the same bad crowd and I would not be in school. I would be on the street."

Creating Stability and Security

Phoenix House is a 10-bed residential facility offering safe, supportive and long-term housing to young men and women. Established in 1987, Phoenix House offers five male and five female residents a place to call ‘home'.

Like other Phoenix programs, Phoenix House supports youth making the difficult transition from adolescence to adulthood and independence. It does this by providing the structure and stability which youth need to move toward healthy lifestyles and choices.

Residents are encouraged to develop independent living skills through participation in a full-time day program involving education, employment or volunteer work. They are also expected to contribute to the household by assisting with daily chores.

The average age of residents at Phoenix House is 17.8 years. The average length of stay is eight months.
