"I have lived at many group homes in the past. This past summer I applied to Phoenix House because I felt I was ready for a transition into a more independent and flexible environment. I haven’t lived there very long, but it is safe to say that you should be very proud of the Phoenix Youth Programs that you all help support.
As soon as I moved into Phoenix House, I knew that I had moved to a safe and positive environment – an environment where the food was never scarce and where the staff care about and connect with the residents. I believe that these traits are quite unique and special and am very glad to see the fairness and tolerance that I have been shown.
I myself am very thankful for all the support that I and other residents have received while in the care of Phoenix Youth Programs. Without all of your generosity, many of us would not have the resources or the time to attend school, or save up for university so that one day, we too may be sitting in your seats, feeling proud to have supported the leaders of tomorrow to achieve the success that otherwise may have been unachievable."
